25-01-19 – 16 out of the 61 bottle nose dolphins were taken during the captive selection the remaining were drove back out to sea. Once again we see many paniced juvenile dolphins torn from their family’s, Their familys changed forever.

•2 pods have been driven into the Cove, an estimated 70 dolphins are in the cove and will be kept over night.

•17 striped dolphins were forced into the Cove, all have been slaughtered.

• 26 striped dolphins have been killed after a fight for their life the terrified dolphins were driven into the killing beach and killed.

11-01-19 – a further 18 dolphins were taken is the captivity the pod is now believed to have consist of 120 dolphins . The remaining 50 hungry dolphins were driven back out to sea.

10-01-19 – The captive selection begins again. Dolphins are still netted in the cove with no food.

• Another 26 dolphins have been taken away to captivity. It is believed 2 calfs have also died in the process.

• The dolphins are being kept for a 3rd night at the cove.

9-01-19 – The large group is now estimated to be around 90, 27 dolphins have been separated ending the selective process for today.

8-01-19 – Red cove

•Risso dolphins – 9 slaughterd, 3 taken for a life of captivity. The boats left the harbour again suggesting a second pod may have been spotted.

• 2nd drive has been successful for the boats.

• Large pod of Bottlenose dolphins have been driven into the Cove and now are awaiting their fait. Around 60 dolphins seem to be netted in the cove.

• They seem to be preparing to keep the dolphins over night.

• Bottlenose dolphins – 8 were taken to captivity, 4 released and 4 killed, it is unclear if the dolphins died in the process or if they were killed as bottlenose dolphins are seen as the ‘prettiest’ and are not normally killed.

• early this morning nets at the base were found cut, 5 dolphins have been able to escape a life suffering for now. It is not clear who has done this however is most likely a local individual, not connected to a group.

• A group of Mellon headed whales was driven into the Cove many esaced . The group caught have been slaughtered.

•15 dolphins including 3 calfs were killed today.

10-11-18 / 11-11-18/ 12-11-18 – Red cove

•overall 48 Bottlenose dolphins stolen from the ocean and from their family. 7 dead dolphins. Approximately 25 hungry dolphins.

• 6 more killed others driven out to sea.

•Dolphins left are being held for a 2nd night with no food . It is believed a mother has also been pulled away from a calf, what seemed to be a calf was seen with a bigger dolphin is now not with the older dolphin after the captive selection from today.

• 34 dolphins have lost their freedom and their family’s wait in the cove. Updates soon

• after 3 separate drives a pod of bottle nose dolphins are now netted in the cove.

• Dolphins look like they will be held over night one has already died to stress.

•A pod of striped dolphins have now been slaughterd, 2 were taken into captivity. Today boats began to return then all went back out .

• A pod of 25 bottle nose dolphins were driven it to the Cove this morning.

• Flood lights have been put up at the cove suggesting that the pod will be kept over night in the cove.

Update Niji- at dolphin base ( Sea pens ) the trainers are now attempting to hide Niji from the cameras and have placed tarps along side her pen to stop people from seeing what is going on , they have also done this to 2 other pens holding other dolphins suggesting there are more than just Niji with this condition.

Update Trio – the trio of dolphins captured last week have now be reloacated and were found in other sea pens.

Update Niji- it has been made clear Niji is suffering more and more she has now been seen refusing to eat multiple times and being given medication, she also now has scars that are a big concern to the group’s documenting the capture and slaughter in Taiji.

Update Niji – ● one of the Risso dolphins captured on the 10th of October has been showing high levels of stress including refusing to eat. Niji has made it clear she is depressed and is struggling to adapt. She is in big trouble ! To people contemplating about going to dolphinariums remember this is what most of these dolphins have been through and by paying to go to a show YOU are supporting the capture and slaughter of dolphins.

The other 3 dolphins have been moved some were else.

All of these captured animals will go to a life of captivity where they will suffer and not live free.
